Your browser tells us your operating system. Some browsers also report your processor type. Adjust the choices if they're wrong, or if you're installing on a different machine.
Confirm it on the machine itself
Browsers can be wrong. For example, Safari on Apple Silicon may report an Intel Mac. Run one of these to be sure:
| OS | Command | What you'll see |
|---|---|---|
| macOS | uname -m | arm64 for Apple Silicon, x86_64 for Intel |
| Linux | uname -m | x86_64 for x64, aarch64 for ARM64 |
| Windows | $env:PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE (PowerShell) | AMD64 for x64, ARM64 for ARM |
